Learn moreHow It Works
Three steps. No carrier-shop runaround.
Tell Us About Your Operation
Crew size, payroll, revenue, the work you actually do, and where you do it. Quick form or a five-minute call — your choice.
We Shop the Carriers
We work only with roofers, so we know which carriers price your class code fairly. We pull quotes from the ones that actually want to write you.
Bind and Get Your COI
Approve the proposal, bind coverage, and walk away with a certificate of insurance in hand the same day for your next contract.
What Claims Support Looks Like
Most insurance shops sell you a policy and disappear. We stay in the file — drag the slider to see what supplement and scope-of-loss support recovers on a typical insurance-paid roof replacement.

WHAT WILL ROOFING INSURANCE COST YOU?
Quick ballpark — not a quote. Real numbers come after we shop carriers.

I built this practice because every roofer I know got burned at least once by an insurance agent who didn't understand class code 5551. Roofing is all we do — that's not a slogan, it's the whole business model.

Common Questions
How much does roofing insurance cost?
It depends on payroll, revenue, the work you do (residential vs commercial, steep vs low-slope), claims history, and your state. Most small to mid-sized roofing contractors pay between $8,000 and $40,000 annually for combined general liability and workers' compensation. Workers' comp is almost always the biggest line item — in some states, the rate is over $30 per $100 of roofer payroll. Get a quote and we'll give you actual numbers, not a calculator estimate.
Do I need workers' compensation if I only use 1099 subcontractors?
In nearly every state, yes — and it's one of the most common ways roofing companies get hit with a six-figure audit bill. If your subcontractor doesn't carry their own valid workers' comp policy, the auditor will treat their payroll as yours and charge you for it at the end of the policy year. We'll walk you through how to set up subcontractor agreements and certificate tracking the right way.
What general liability limits do I need?
Most general contractors require a minimum of $1M per occurrence / $2M aggregate. For commercial work or storm-restoration teams, $2M / $4M is increasingly the norm. We help match your limits to the contracts you actually want to win — not just the cheapest policy on the page.
Why is roofing insurance so expensive compared to other trades?
Class code 5551 (Roofing) is one of the highest-risk classifications NCCI tracks. Falls from height drive both workers' comp severity and general liability claims. The good news: carriers that specialize in roofing price it more competitively than generalist insurers. We only place coverage with carriers that actively want roofing accounts.
How fast can I get a certificate of insurance?
Same day in most cases. Once coverage is bound, we issue COIs to additional insureds, GCs, or property managers within a few hours. We can also set up automatic certificate delivery for repeat customers.
Do you write coverage in every state?
Yes. We work with carriers admitted in all 50 states, including monopolistic workers' comp states (North Dakota, Ohio, Washington, Wyoming) where coverage has to come through the state fund.
Coverage by State
